Normally I would do a search but that function is down, so I come to the great hangout. Im taking my girl out to dinner for her bday and id like a nice dinner place to take her, some place nice and intimate. So far ive gotten some places like Houston's or Che Nous, so I just need any other ideas or places that may be just as good. Thanks in advance.

Brennen's is nice. Also... Benjy's is a little more casual but its trendy and pretty intimate IMO.

    Cafe Rabelais in the Village.

You can thank me the next morning, after you are fully drained and walking bowlegged. Don't say I didn't warn you.

    Da Marco's, Mark's, Shade, T'afia, Benjy's, Uptown Sushi, Hugo's, Cafe Annie, Vic & Anthony's, there's plenty.

some of these are less "romantic" than others, but they all can be really good.

just go to citysearch's best of and you'll find plenty of options.

I think Da Marco's is the best Italian in town and has a somewhat quaint, neat feel to the restaurant

I think you're mistaken. It's the best French bistro in Houston. Excellent wine list. Take your woman there and you will get laid, I guarantee! :D

Alright, I guess we will head out that way. Gotta make reservations? Do they sell chicken strips?

Kahn's deli, but you'll have to make it an early dinner.

Then you should try Nelore on Montrose. Just as good and not quite as expensive.

I just took my wife there for her 40th birthday. I valet parked the car and had my brother in law come switch it out while we were eating for the 07 Special Edition Triple White Convertible VW Bug that my wife has been drooling over. She had no idea and you should have seen the look on her face when we left and the valet pulled up in her new car with a big red bow on it.

My favorite is the bacon-wrapped chicken. Ahhhhhhh...mouth-watering.

I'm so jealous...as the closest FDC to Vegas is in Beverly Hills. We are getting a Texas De Brazil early next year though! SCORE!
