I felt sorry for him when he got bounced from the league and had his contract voided. Hope he can stay sober now.

Happy Birthday to Birdman he just turned 31 today. 5 years seems like a lot considering he will be 36 by the end of that contract. You'd never know he was that old though from watching the way he moves on the court. If I didn't know any better I'd probably thought he was 28 or so. It's probably cause he doesn't have too many miles. Glad to see he got a nice contract.

Yeah you would have to be a pretty big hater to not at least be happy for the guy....he earned that money. No doubt.

Good for him. He played his way back to the NBA and does deserve this raise.

Probably the coolest, most down to earth guy in the league. I'm glad he got paid.

Did not realize he was 31, like you I thought he was younger than that. Surprised Denver would give the guy a contract for 5 years at his age, probably has a team option in year four making it guaranteed through year 3.

5 years is a lot, but we got him at a discount (the final number will come in lower than the $26 mil that article speculates -- a LOT of incentives that he probably won't achieve). Reportedly quite a few teams offered him the full MLE for 3 years.
