"Bird willing to trade Pacers' top pick to land point guard" http://www.nba.com/2010/news/06/22/pacers.bird.ap/index.html?ls=iref:nbahpt2 Not sure if posted, but lock if it is..
I believe Bima stated that Lowry can't be traded until next month. What about Llull? And then use the #10 and #14 to help get #4?
why waste a first round pick; he can sign Famar as a FA, who doesn't fit into PhilJax's scheme. Famar can run an offense, as long as it is not the triangle.
I seriously doubt the Pacers would trade their top pick for Kyle Lowry. I'm guessing they are targeting Darren Collison.
I love AB but I do think he is about at his ceiling as a player. I think he can get a bit stronger and smarter over the years but his athleticism will also decline. It all depends if you see Lowry as a starter. He would make us more effectively defensively but I am not positive that Lowry/Martin can do what Brooks/Martin did at times (which is be almost unstoppable.) But #10 and another future first rounder (from a stuggling team) would be tempting.
Who said anything about picks. I said that I can see the Pacers offering Lowry a decent amount of change. Lowry can run an offense is the type of hard nosed player Bird likes.
I agree, especially knowing San Antonio would like Ed Davis in the draft. George Hill emerged as a key player for them in the playoffs, I see it happening. And why do you guys automatically assume they are looking for a Rockets guard?
This is a rockets forum. We are looking at how to take advantage of this situation. Would you move up in the draft (give up #14) if we could get one of the Pacer's bigs? Lowry or Brooks and #14 for Hibbert or Murphy and #10? Does moving up 4 spots make a difference for us in the draft?
They're likely using their pick to create salary space as well as picking up a starter PG. Pacers are a team that will definately avoid the the tax at all costs. As they are now I think they're barely able to use the LLE if they've got it this season.
idt trading AB to move only 4 spots up is worth it at all.. when I read they own the 10th pick I went limp.. lmao jk
