I have been very concerned over how Ming was going to spend the off season, after reading the media waiting to find out something it finally come from listening to the Rocket broadcast during the Nuggets game last night. Worrel said they asked Ming how he was going to spend his summer and his instant reply was getting stronger. They also said that he is going to spend 11-12 days in Houston before returning to China for practice with the national team. He has a entire work out schedule from the Rocket trainer to follow this summer. Must have already been something worked out with the Chinese National team about his work outs. He would return in time for the two a days in training camp and told Worrel his preformance next season would be greatly improved over this year. Since I do not think Ming is one to brag or overstate anything, if he says he is going to get stronger and have a much better season next year, then he believes it and that sure makes me feel better about the off season.
This is awesome. Wonder if the schedule also include rests? I don't want Yao to get freaking tired with the stupid NT coach work-hard philosophy.
Yao was quoted as saying he will get to rest 3 weeks before coming to Rockets training camp. That's not much but should do him good.
