Bill said during the game, "Yao is becoming a man!" Great way to follow up a 30 point 16 rebound performance with another big double-double on a back to back on the road. I also especially like McGrady's comment in the Houston Chronicle that "The Two Leaders" stepped up in light of the fact that the Rockets are winless without him (McGrady) in the lineup. If Yao can in fact be more of a leader, that would be awesome. Anyway, I like Wesley's and Swift's play as of late. Swift seems more comfortable with the system and Wesley is hitting some shots again. Luther Head continues to be impressive. As with last season, the x-factor is getting solid production from the role players. Again, good job Yao. Let's hope he can join the upper echelon of 20-10 players.
Well, TMAC is the only true leader and he showed that last night. I was really impressed by his play last night. Yao had solid game, except his 3th foul is really stupid and hurted the team! Also, too many TO including two ugly passing. Swift show his offensive talent but, his passing...........
Yao had 5 to's, but one was due to a bullcrap traveling violation and another was due a flop by Fortson. Both should've been baskets and Yao should've had 30 points.
Refs really need to learn how to say "inadvertant whistle" more. Same thing when McGrady drew a foul on Fortson when it wasn't. Ref accidentally blows his whistle, no need to compound the mistake by actually making a call.
I'm pretty sure I saw some great passes by Swift for layups etc. last night. Can't really remember. But pretty sure.
Yao's hands are getting better too. A couple of times he snagged a rebound and didn't let the ball get away from him when someone slapped it.
You're like that kid form the Sixth Sense "I see great passes from Swift" he did have a couple of good looking ones though. Seems like he's working his way into the rotation more. Lets hope the trend continues
Yao has stepped up recently. I had a friend at the Golden State game that said that Yao looked like a completely different player than last year. I'm just hoping that Yao can continue to play more minutes -- he will produce.
Yao has great passing ability and so does Swift. Both are a little more turnover prone than I'm confortable with, but we seem to be managing just fine right now.
How about the pass where Swift hit Moochie cutting to the basket back door? His passing game is under rated just like Yao's.
I would love to see Yao and Swift do some pick n' rolls. Its so damm fun watchin Swift dunk over the defense.
I was shocked to see him leap (well, as much as he can now) up and grab a board in heavy traffic late in the game. Dammit, I loved that he got a technical. We didn't need one then, but he needs to get more pissed off at how beat up he gets, and how the refs treat him. It's past time for the big fella to develop some mean. Get mean, Yao! I know you can do it! Hell, at least a few minutes a game would be a start. Gotta start somewhere, dude. Get some mean!
Yao should get one technical a game when the refs are screwing him. That way the league would see that Yao, the unlikely guy to lead the league in T and realize there's a problem and they will start to treat him better. BTW, just don't get the 2nd T, Yao.
TMAC is the total package leader of this team. Yao will only ever be able to lead by his play, but that if just fine with me.
