Romeo is solid and we cant really ask for more. But I don't know, I was hoping for some new blood and innovation. NE's defense has evolved into something more dynamic and unpredictable since he's left, and it's a way less talented defense now. He's on par with Phillips though. More proven.

Nature of the business. These guys don't get into this business looking for stability. also, don't lose 14 in a row and you wont have any need to be fired.

I know its part of the business, but man can't help but feel bad for Wade. He's done a lot for us. Wishing him the best.

Thanks for all you done Wade Phillips, but something had to change about that red zone defense.

I never said they didn't need to be let go. I just don't think "yay" is the right response, we might as well put on party hats and throw confetti at them as they pack up their s**t.

I really liked Wade and it's sad to see him go. His defense wasn't working out anymore but I would have liked to keep him involved in the organization in some way.

I'm not thrilled about Romeo Crennel. I would have liked a younger guy more in touch with current nfl trends. Romeo was out of football last year for a reason.

Being out of football isnt necessarily a bad thing...I think coaches can learn from their mistakes by stepping away from the game and watching it from a different perspective.

Still might be a possibility. Conflicting reports about whether all assistants were let go.

I am hoping a few #texans asst's are retained. He was out of football last season because he failed as a hc in and took the year off. He was promoted, again, for a reason.

One of my concerns with going with Romeo Crennel is the change from the one-gap Wade Phillips 3-4 to the two-gap traditional 3-4. You might end up limiting the effectiveness of JJ by making him change his gap responsibilities. I hope Romeo can adapt his scheme and system to take advantage and highlight JJ versus limiting him to holding up linemen for LBs to flow and make plays. The good thing is we'll be much more stout up front with a true NT.

Romeo tried to to utilize the less athletic Seymour as more of a rusher than a gap filler a lot in New England. I wouldn't worry about it.

But you can celebrate a change in leadership and new direction for the football team. Doesn't necessarily mean you are 'happy' a person had to lose their job.

    Trade with Cleveland

Pick up CJ Mosely, Louis Nix in first round?

Take McCarron/LSU's Qb in the second

    or draft

    Teddy Bridgewater.

    Give me Teddy!
