bigtexxx this will probably land me on your ignore list, but your signature made me curious. Again, I didn't go to UT, I was just curious. Must not count "unofficial" national championships because I'm pretty sure UT-Austin has at least one acknowledged National Championship in Football that's not listed here.

...an entire thread devoted to Rice envy and the expression of sour grapes regarding last year's mauling of UT in the CWS by Rice and then Huston Street's only loss of the season (and blown save earlier in the year). You are still not over it. Wow.
Gentlemen this is flattering that you would devote an entire thread to my signature. In my signature, I state that Rice has 1 national championship in 2003. I also stated that the Austin branch of UT has zero. Folks I don't live in the past. I live for the moment. I make every day of my life count. We're living in 2003, and Rice has scoreboard. Now all you UT alumni out there (and those who *think they are* as well...) put your tail between your legs and scamper off. After listening to you people boast about how great your teams are every year, I think my signature puts things in perspective a bit.
I'm enjoying a successful sports year that includes both basketball teams making it to the Final Four and the baseball team making it to the CWS. In all three, we were beaten by amazing teams that went on to win the championships. There is no shame in that. Good for Rice, Syracuse and UConn...three great teams. Also, I know I graduated from Texas State (then Southwest Texas State) in 1999.
That reminds me I need to order my 'Texas State' degree and hang it next to my SWT diploma. Then I can tell everyone I went to 2 schools for the same major, what a wonderful icebreaker...
