What movie disappointed you the most?
a movie you just KNEW was going to be the greatest. . then BOOM . . .it either was mediocre or just flat out sucked

I have to say Matrix 3
Matrix 2 disappointed me. . but Matrix 3 just totally
    wreck it for me

I think it is because Matrix 1
    set the bar so high

Easy. Star Wars Episosde I: The Phantom Menace

17 years of build-up, only for a pointless, cartoonish, kiddy-friendly battle over Naboo. Naboo? Fu!k Naboo! Who cares? I wanted to see the Clone Wars. The fall of the Jedi. Not this pod-racing crap.

Being a huge Chris Elliott fan I'd have to say Cabin Boy.

Agreed. I cried. I had a feeling I would be let down going in but I was in complete denial. It was like stepping in dog crap. That's what happens when you dumb down the world for the sake of children...

But now I don't hate it as much. It has kind of grown on me. I probably have now seen it over a hundred times. I actually prefer it to II for some reason. Anakin in II just SUCKS. Lucas blew it. I will consider it a miracle if his character is somehow redeemed in III.

I will go ahead and say that I am the biggest Star Wars fan on this board. You wont see me in the SW threads though until after the next movie becasue I am spoiler free. :)

I really like Cabin Boy. You can't beat a giant cupcake that spits tobacco.

For me I guess its any sequels that come out. Im always for sequels even if the original movie ended on a good note. Mortal Kombat Annihilation had to be the biggest turd i was anticipating. I tried to like it but couldnt.

I am a BIG Pixar fan, but The Incredibles and Finding Nemo were dissappontments for me. My expectations were high for Finding Nemo, but fell asleep. The same thing for Incredibles, I fell asleep about midway through. I guess the expectations were high on those 2 but my favorite Pixar film is still Monsters' Inc.

Dude, I can't believe what I just read. To me, Monsters Inc. is a letdown, but Finding Meno and The Incredibles are two of my all time favorites... Wow, that is strange...

Easy for me: Aliens 3. Only movie I've ever waited in line for tickets on opening day. Looking back now I can say it's not a horrible movie but after the genius that is Alien and Aliens I was seriously pissed when I left the theater.

Heh, I agree completely. I absolutely love The Incredibles, Finding Nemo, and TS I and II. Monsters Inc and A Bugs Life are pretty mediocre to me, though. Neither has as many clever lines or witty jokes to me and that is what I watch the Pixar movies for..

Men In Black 2 is got to be the most disappointed movie EVER! The original MIB is on my top 10 list of all time favorites. I don't know how they managed to ruin the sequel even with all the original cast back.
