Urban Meyer made Alex Smith a multimillionaire. He's doing a lot for Tebow too.

I guess Greg Davis did the same for Vince.....lol.

Vince Young, but Tebow might end up as better pro.

    in arena ball.

Sorry but pro scouts don't like shovel passes.

I actually used to think Tebow was underrated and didn't merit the criticsims he received, but after watching him tonight and seeing that his throwing repertoire consists of shovel options, jump passes, WR screens, and floated 15 yard passes I do not think much of his NFL future at QB.

Vince Young ran and passed for over 400 yards against arguably the best college team ever assembled. Tebow is good but this was a matter of OU choking it up again. Tebow and company scored 24 points against OU which is less than Texas A&M did. The difference is the Florida has a very good defense.

Where did this comparison come from...since both players throw like a girl?

College wise: VY by a long shot. Tebo had better numbers in the regular season but VY compared close but everyone remembers how you perform where it mattered.

    Tebo in Nat Cham:
    230 Yards Passing
    109 Yards Rushing
    2 TD Passing
    2 INT

    Young in Nat Cham:
    267 Yards Passing
    200 Yards Rushing
    3 TD Rushing
    0 INT

I'm not a Florida fan, but I'm just really impressed with Tebow -- more as a person than a player, even. I mean, the dude is living the freaking dream and, by all accounts, is as down-to-earth and as centered of a guy as you could ever come across. I'm waiting for the proverbial shoe to drop and hear about how he's an a-hole or something, but sounds like the guy is the real deal. Good for him, too. Two national titles and a Heisman trophy ain't too shabby -- no matter HOW he translates (or doesn't) at the pro level.

You're forgetting that Vince Young was virtually unstoppable. He was the most dominant and exciting player ever. Tim Tebow is great, but I don't even think you can compare them.

Tougher to tell than I thought. Vince Young did his in specatular fashion and went out on as high a note as you can get. And did his in 3 years. Tim Tebow might slightly be ahead for today, maybe behind when the dust settles. A 4th year (especially if his pro prospects look dim) can definitely put him ahead.

so when tebow wins a title, it's a choke job by the other team... but when vince wins one, its all him, right? oh.. and good revisionist history about USC's defense.. which had gotten pretty worked over that year..

Yea that's impressive. Don't offer any analysis or anything.

Tebo averaged 5 yards a carry tonight. Young averaged 10 in the Rose Bowl. As was said earlier, he was unstoppable.

It's not a blinder. If you cared way too much, you could go through my posts and find all the Vince bashing I've done since he joined the Titans but the hate I have for them doesn't blind me to his legacy in college.

Let me start by saying the Vince-lovers bugged the crap out of me for 2 straight years...almost made me dislike Vince

That said, I voted for Vince. Tebow is phenomenal but I think the USC defense that Vince faced was superior to the OU defense that Tebow faced.
