IMO all three of our stars shouldn't be on the court together for extended periods of time. All this does is stop the ball movement and force the players to stand around and wait for someone to create. I think the Rockets are at their best when there's only two stars out there surrounded by complementary players. When all three are out there one of the big three is forced to be a cutter, spot up shooter, or play a complimentary player role; which they are not. Each one of our big three is a playstarter not a recipient of a play and thus they're not playing to their strenght. Please feel free to express your opinion.
As far as I'm concerned they aren't a big three. But since you're talking about T-mac, Artest, and Yao. Artest didn't start, but of course their are going to be times during the game when all 3 are on the court. The problem is down the stretch the last 2 games it has not worked out.
I think Scola should be part of the big 3 instead of Artest. Scola is a beast on the boards and is not afraid to take it to the basket.
I am so ticked off at adelman and mcgrady right now you dont know, WTF why is Tmac taking 20 shots a game when you have a center down low that has one of the highest fg percentages of all time, If Yao had shaqs attitude he wouldn't be such a puss.
nice one, tinman!! i think we should give the new big three some time to develop some chemistry. can we really judge them based on this game? Yao is still not 100% and they need more games and practice together to gel. im just trying to be positive. i hate it when we lose especially to average teams but hey, even Lakers lost to Bobcats recently. i think the game plan is just not wired to their heads just yet. lets give them after All Star before we judge them.
the big 3 always play together in closing the game, but it is where we always lost a big lead.. Actually the rotation from the 1st to 3rd quarter that gives us the lead. We need to do better. No question that the big 3 should play together to develop chemistry. We absolutely need them to take us deep into the playoffs
Scola has five double-doubles in January! Luifa is a beast and there is not denying it. In fact, in January Scola is averaging 13.7 rebounds and 14.6 points per game. However, I have three complaints against Scola: 1. In big games in January against teams such as Boston and LA Lakers he disappeared (averaging 1.5 rebounds per game and 3 points per game). 2. Scola does not like to take the clutch shots at the end of the game. Numerous times he has been open from different ranges 12 to 18 footers and he always pump fakes and passes it to one of the other guys. I wish he was a little more confident to take that shot. He showed a glimpse of that in the Indiana game. Unfortunately, he fouled out of that game. 3. Scola commits to many fouls to be effective in defense sometimes. If Scola improves in those three categories...I would say that we have a BIG3 then. As of today, we haven't had one as Artest doesn't count until he is fully healthy and down with the program.
