Don't know if this has been posted before. I am not a huge fan of Robert Horry but I found this pretty entertaining. <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/s0gWflbw_E4&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/s0gWflbw_E4&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
Actually... it is Big Shot Rob. The media, for whatever stupid reason calls him Big Shot Bob...I think I remember Barkley calling him that once and I wondered why because I always used to hear Big Shot Rob. http://sports.ign.com/articles/627/627735p1.html
that seemed like a weak list, but whatever. if there are teams of destiny, then robert horry was a player of destiny. always on the team with the all-time greats, always where the ball was bouncing, always left open for some crazy reason. and except for that 3 against the spurs in 2003 that rimmed out, he almost always came up huge. i remembered that 3 against philly but i didn't realize they just doubled kobe at halfcourt and basically conceded a freakin' wide open 3 to robert f'ing horry in the playoffs when up by 1 where a 3 just kills you. they must have been doing something right to be within 1, but what kind of bone-headed strategy was that? and if anything could top it, it would be the #1 play, rasheed wallace guarding horry on the inbounds pass, with his team up 2, with a few seconds left in a finals game. up 2 you can't give up a 3, and the only person you have to absolutely account for is horry, so as soon as horry throws it in, for no reason, rasheed just runs away from horry and leaves him open for 3 like someone was holding his family hostage and instructed him to give horry the open 3. if popovich himself could have drawn up the pistons' defense, he would have probably been embarrassed to make it that easy on his spurs. oh well, long live big shot rob.
