    Big: Listening to Kerouac and foregoing my high school education for traveling the open roads.

    Small: Buying a 6 pack of beer instead of a 12 pack tonight.

    Big: chickening out on my high school baseball tryouts. i drove up to the parking lot, players were already on the field, i sat in the car for ten minutes watching, then just turned the car on and drove home. i should be the starting shortstop for the Houston Astros right now.

    Small: overindulging in food again

    big - was going to invest in yahoo around 1998 but put a down payment on a car instead.

    small - was going to change the IAC on my jeep, but slept the whole day, at a casino til 4am last night. Now it's dark.

    Big: not asking this girl out in college..then realizing I should have, but now she lives in another country.

    Small: I took a nap earlier today, and won't be able to be sleep for a few more hours now. Its going to mess up my Sunday schedule.

    Not taking my Father's advice more. When I was young, I didn't want to listen. Now that I'm (ahem) middle-aged, his advice has proven to be far more prophetic than I could have ever imagined. I could have saved myself quite a few headaches and heartaches if I would have taken his advice at various stages in my life.

    big - staying with my ex for so long and marrying him

    small - right now I'm regretting moving from Texas to Alabama, but not sure if that's just temporary adjustment pains.
