I need to know if anyone saw this movie and didnt want to shoot themselves afterwards. It has train wreck written all over it. Then again, maybe its an instant classic.
$28 million in estimated ticket sales in its opening weekend for the second largest opening in January ever. http://www.cnn.com/2006/SHOWBIZ/Movies/01/29/boxoffice.ap/index.html
What the hell is wrong with people!??!!???!!! It sometimes makes me wonder why I even bother try writing decent scripts when **** like this makes so much money....
When I saw the trailer I was like WTF? They made a sequel to what? As expected it only has a 7% fresh rating on rottentomatoes.com Even that seems high.
it's amazing how everyone on the internet is an amazingly smart, sophisticated person while the rest of the country is just a bunch of morons. and no, i haven't even seen the movie, but the level of music/movie/television snobbery on message boards these days is almost unbearable.
some movies are made to entertain, not to stimulate. i watched the 40 year old virgin on ppv a few nights ago and just didn't get it...oh well.
Well first it is a sequel (which are traditionally never as good as the first movie) and it stars Martin Lawrence as a WOMAN, no check that, an obnoxious FAT WOMAN. Unless you are a diehard Martin Lawrence fan, why would you want to see this - seriously? You really want to see this movie, don't you? You probably have a point, but dude, come on, you really can't defend this trash. I can see defending pop music or nighttime soap operas but this movie? No answer is expected to this question since it is a rhetorical one; it is just a technique us Internet snobs use.
Are you actually defending Big Momma's House 2? That's pretty much as close to "career suicide" as you can get on ClutchFans (well, besides sticking up for bigtexxx on anything UT-related). It got a freaking 6% rating from RottenTomatoes.com. I mean, good lord, it tied Gigli. Heck, Catwoman beat it out.
Damn. Vescey, you really have been on a roll of late - could you post more often like in every thread I post in - please? So, I have a man crush on him; want to make something of it?
Well, I guess another sequel is in the works then. Seriously, how does Martin Lawrence keep getting work?
and exactly what part of this movie is supposed to entertain??? it's mind-boggling (to me atleast) that so many people would consider that entertaiment.
