Cleveland since landing Shaq are still looking for a longer 2 guard that can shoot 3's and defend. West is their 2 guard and he's lacking height. Plus adding a longer 2 gives West the opportunity to come of the bench...something the cavs are really lacking. There are talks that Zydrunas Ilgauskas may be moved. Since we need a big, would you trade Battier for Z? Or who would you trade for Z? Or even want Z? I think he's decent center with a nice shot but has had problems against Howard.
why would clevland move illgauskus? they have 2 of the best centers in the NBA. there are some teams that dont even have 1.
They are looking for a 2 guard/defender something they were getting killed on when they played against the magic. Put it this way, West is going to have to guard Carter.

I could have sworn they got killed because their frontcourt wasn't athletic enough. Dwight Howard just killed them because their big men were just too slow. Hahaha their 2 guards got killed. hahaha that was funny. As for the thread trade McGrady and Landry or McGrady and Dorsey to them for Big Z. I don't think its smart to have to expensive centers. Shaq may start or come off the bench and Z has a large contract. Trade for him and he is our new starting center. He can be our version of Brad Miller.
hedo was schooling west at the 2. hedo was 6'10" and west is around 6. mo and west is one of the smallest backcourts in the nba.
So because Delonte West was guarding Hedo you think that Hedo is a SG?? wow i've seen it all. Unbelievable. Like i said if you saw the series, The Whole Series, you would know that their front court not back court was the problem.
Z for Battier would be a great trade for Cleveland. As for the Rockets, I'm not concerned about replacing Yao's production. If we don't have Yao, we're screwed regardless. I think the only thing to do for the coming season is to either assume Yao will play and concentrate on improving the team around him, or assume he won't play and start dismantling the team.
i'm not saying their frontcourt was the problem. they now have addressed their frontcourt with adding shaq. if you watched the series you'd see that their bench had no production and their 2 guard had some problems guarding hedo. if you remember rox playing cle, it was west that was guarding tmac. having a 2 guard gives west the opportunity to come of the bench.
If anything they made their front court worse by adding Shaq if anything. Shaq isn't the same guy he was. Shaq is 37 years old. Shaq is slow. Pick and Roll against him and its over.
