Until we get a trade and/or Hayes returns, after observing our big men for several games, this is how I think Adelman should play them

    Scola-30
    Jeffries-25
    Patterson-25
    Hill/Miller-splitting the scraps

In my opinion, Jeffries has proven to be a more solid contributor than Hill and should have preference on minutes. I know it probably won't happen because of trade showcasing and development of Hill. But I'm convinced Jeffries is the better option and Hill and Miller should see minutes dictated on the opponent and game setting, Miller for half court scoring offense and Hill for the uptempo up and down games.

While I agree that Jeffries provides a much better chance of winning, once you put all the pieces back...ie Kmart, it doesn't work as well.

Miller and Kmart work very well together.....we just have too many options right now.

IMO: I would play PatPat more than Jeffries, and give Hill some decent minutes, he just might be a diamond in the rough. If he gets some consistent minutes he just might surprise a few people.
Trade Brad Miller for a bag of rocks, he came to back up Yao, now he just doesn't fit on this team, and has no D.
He is a poor man's Brad Lohaus.

The way PatPat has been playing lately he should get more minutes than Hill.

    But I think we're showcasing Hill, that's Y.

PPat needs to be playing 25-30 minutes a game. JHill's performance was encouraging on Monday but he needs to bring that focus and aggressiveness EVERY night. I'm torn in JJ's case, he gives us a better chance to win but honestly, feel development is more important right now. I rather see PPat, JHill and Scola rotate a lot of the big man minutes and Miller spell Hill from time to time. It's time to put a bit more responsibility on Hill's shoulders and see what he does with it over an extended period of time.

You can tell Patterson has worked hard on his game and it is reaping productive rewards on the court. He's done everything the organization has asked him to do (gone to the D league, ride the bench until he is needed or earns time), and as far as I know, has consistently had a good attitude and never complained.

He needs to split time with Scola like Landry did 25-30 minutes for each. He's playing so well you can't ignore his production and not increase his minutes and shots per game (70% FG percentage?)

Jeffries can work well with PPat, Lee, Lowry, Williams.

Basically if you put strong rebounders in at the other spots, you can get away with his atrocious defensive rebounding.

You can't pair him with AB, Budinger, Martin, or we will get killed on the boards.

    Simple....

Not just with Big Men but with all the players.....

Play the players by match up and performance.

So if you have a guy like Jordan Hill having a good night then you play that guy while he's hot... you don't take him out because he's close to his minutes or because you want to give another guy minutes.

Right now you have a lot of guys that can play different positions so you have to go with the hot hand and not look at who should be getting minutes.

Actually Chase is a decent rebounder, you can count on him to attack the defensive boards. Per minutes, he is much better than Battier.
