UCF is no doubt gone. UH President Renu Khator has been tweeting that she has been in and out of conference meetings over the past month about this.
TCU and UH would be a GREAT move for both schools and for the Big East. The Big East is the worst conference with an automatic BCS bid and are in risk of losing it. TCU (with BYU and Utah leaving the MWC) would love to be in a AQ conference (even though they'd prefer to be in a better one) and UH would also increase its followers and money flow by leaving CUSA and joining the Big East. For recruiting this would help both schools a lot because many of the top Texas recruits land at some Big 12 school but the Big East would be a good place to land. Being able to play earlier on a TCU team that is better than the Big 12 schools and has a higher chance of making it to a BCS bowl would be attractive to a recruit.
Poor Boise. They tried their best to move into a better conference, and then BYU, Utah and TCU potentially all ditch them, leaving them in the same situation as before.
lawls! True, but this will allow every season to have Boise as the main subject and being on the outside looking in..... Honestly, I was bummed when Utah announced their departure from the MTW conference. Even with Boise coming in.
Honestly, besides TCU, East Carolina consistently puts a competitive team on the field. I don't know how that would factor into what two schools the Big East chooses but its gotta count for something!
