People are coming from all over the country to protest the war profiteering and accounting scandals with tax payers money done by Cheney's old company.

    Be sure to go.

Actually, a couple of years ago, they used to protest about Halliburton regularly outside my building in downtown. Basically the only people protesting were people who were jealous of others who were successful, good-looking, athletic and smart. We call these jealous people 'liberals'.

Halliburton is by far the most qualified company to be performing the reconstruction work over there. This demonstration shows just how ignorant many liberals are. Just clueless to reality. Professional protestors at their finest. LOL

I thought that was the reason conservatives hated Hollywood.

Of course that isn't true, or is at least arguable. Since there were already Russian companies doing the work before the invasion, and would have had the know-how, contacts, and history dealing with at least part of the oil business there.

What are these companies' names and what is their track record? Back up your claim instead of (again) assuming that Americans are the worst at something.

My brother works for KBR in Houston. He's voted Bush both times. They've asked him three times if he wants to make some extra money. He's told them no.

He spent 9 months in Desert Storm as military police and he say's no ****ing way he'd go to Iraq.

In 2004, Cheney earned $195,000 from Halliburton.

In 2004, 848 soldiers died in Iraq.

Do the math - $230 per G.I.

False. Another lie from the liberals. Why must you lie so much - do you really think it bolsters your cause?

If Cheney was never CEO of Halliburton no one would care. It's not like Halliburton is the only company doing work over there, it's just an easy target.

Have you ever worked a day in finance in your life? Judging by this quote above, it looks like the answer is no. You don't understand the difference between deferred compensation and earning money in a given year. Cheney earned that money years ago. He is just being paid it now. As a result, there is no confict of interest.

When liberals post comments like this, with confidence, when they have absolutely no idea what they are talking about, they discredit all future arguments. You simply don't know what you are talking about.

The Halliburton conspiracy theory is only parroted by the most extreme, ignorant libs. Typical...

The truth hurts, don't it. :D

For the record, I could care less if it is deferred or not - it stinks to me either way.

rhadamanthus -- educate yourself, because now you have no clue what you are talking about. Stick to the 'no blood for oil' unless you can learn a little bit about finance. Here's a start:

    Deferred Compensation
An arrangement in which a portion of an employee's income is paid out at a date after which that income is actually earned. Examples of deferred compensation include pensions, retirement plans, and stock options.

    Money, get away.
Get a good job with good pay and you’re okay.
    Money, it’s a gas.
Grab that cash with both hands and make a stash.
New car, caviar, four star daydream,
Think I’ll buy me a football team.

    Money, get back.
I’m all right jack keep your hands off of my stack.
    Money, it’s a hit.
Don’t give me that do goody good bull****.
I’m in the high-fidelity first class traveling set
And I think I need a lear jet.

    Money, it’s a crime.
Share it fairly but don’t take a slice of my pie.
    Money, so they say
Is the root of all evil today.
But if you ask for a raise it’s no surprise that they’re
    Giving none away.

Whether it is deferred or not, that doesn't negate the truth that Cheny is being paid money from Haliburton. Nothing you have said negates that fact.
