Really? I cant see anyway Goodell allows this, after the way he's come down on others....

In Friday's meeting with NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, Ben Roethlisberger's representatives plan to ask the commissioner to reduce the six-game suspension by at least three games, bringing along team president Arthur J. Rooney II to the New York meeting to support the quarterback's case, sources with knowledge of upcoming proceedings told ESPN's Sal Paolantonio.

    No harm in asking.

    Its just negotiation.

You want it reduced to 4 games, so you ask for 3.

Really hoping this happens. I drafted Cutler and Big Ben back to back in one of my drafts. Hoping the suspension is drastically reduced so I can trade one of these guys later in the season.

He deserves a reduction. In fact, I think he should be pardoned off for his good behaviour thus far.

Should let him practice with the team like it's 4 weeks but still keep it at 6. Why should goodell fold when it's a repeat offense. Still bitter about Cushing I guess but this is pacman jones level of stupidity.

Goodell has been kind of vague on the suspension issue, but my original understanding was minimum 4 games, max of 6.
