I mean what the fu@k!!! Shaq wants to be called the "Big Aristotle". ummm...how about the "Big Dumb Ass". Does this freakin idiot even know who the hell aristotle is? I bet it probably took him all day long just to come up with that. Then it probably atleast took him an hour to say that. "From now on (30 second pause, as he thinks really really hard what comes next) I want to be (20 second pause)known as (thinking...Kazam? no no thats not it....Steel uhhh I dont think so...damn it...oh yeah) the Big Aristotle!!!!!!!!!!!!! How the hell did this guy even get into college. The Big Aristotle! I mean if thats not the dumbest thing I have ever heard than I dont know what is. Big Stupid Ass piece of ****. Sorry just had to get that off my chest. ------------------ Now introducing the starting lineup for your Houston Rockets: Starting at Center, from Wake Forets TIM DUNCAN...
Yeah it's hard to believe he was able to make it into the NBA with it's tough academic standards ------------------
I hate to go against you on this, but the way I look at it Shaq has shown that he is intelligent by his actions, not his words. Here are just a few. 1) He takes his game from Orlando to L.A. How much money did that make him, let alone ending up on the best team and taking home the MVP. That was an intelligent move. And a courageous one because of the criticism he received from all sides at the time. 2) He does that commercial for kids and teaching them the importance of learning how to read. Pretty good commercial too. That shows me that he cares depsite what you may say otherwise. It's intelligent to say you want kids to read, but it's twice as intelligent to do something about it. 3) His game has improved. That's a sign that he's a lot brighter than most NBA players. Because most NBA players don't elevate their game the way he has. He's learning how to win. He's learning how to play with his head. 4) And there's nothing wrong with quoting Aristotle. You can make fun of him if you want, but you're always going to remember Aristotle's words and that means that Shaq taught you something. Scary. huh. And give him credit for one more thing, he gave credit to Aristotle for the words of wisdom unlike most players or coaches do. They pretend like they came up with what they said. I find it refreshing to hear something interesting from the players. That's why I like listening to Olajuwon. But it doesn't come down to what you say that makes you intelligent, it what you do after you say it. ------------------ humble, but hungry.
so exactly how much has his game improved. that is all hype, too. Look at his 2nd year versus now. Nearly identical.
HP: Offensively his stats may be about the same. But he has elevated his defensive game. I honestly think part of this can be attributed to his block of Mobley to clinch the series last year. That finally opened his eyes that he can win a game on the defensive side of the ball. Of course the biggest part had to be his determination to be a defensive force and to some extent Phil's influence on his defensive ability. I think many superstars come into the league with great offensive games, but they need to learn to play D. Jordan, IMO, could always score at will but it took him awhile to figure out how to play great defense. Other potential future superstars need to learn this same thing, like Iverson & hopefully Stevie. ------------------
PSJ, actually the move from Orlando to LA only shows that he has a smart agent. The agent says, do you want to stay here and be famous and make a lot of money; or do you want to go to LA, make even more money, be even more famous, be a giant hype-machine, make movies and rap songs and be respected whenever you say something really stupid? It isn't like he had to do some arithmetic to figure this one out. ------------------
