Also, read from Sina that Yao is hyped up against D12.

Interesting. So according to Biedrins, Yao's got the better offensive skills, but it sounds like he gives the edge to Howard when it comes to defense and aggression.

That was a game where they play the PHX the night b4 and the one of the worst night for Yao this season after having a great game the night b4 vs a uptempo team and playing 40+ minutes.

At the moment, Yao is probably still better. Next season onward, it will be Howard.

His answers are not surprising. They're actually dead on.

If the guy asked the stupid questions like who is quicker, he really should have asked who's the better FT shooter.

You never know. Yao actually was better last season because of the system.
With the minutes he's playing right now, he'd possibly average around 27 under JVG.

How is that stupid, cause you know the answer wouldn't be Yao?

A stupid question is something like "Who's taller?"

the keys for yao to win this matchup are 1. to get the ball. dwight will get the ball to go at yao, no question about it. if tmac somehow decides to take over the game, it's over. 2. to avoid foul troubles. dwight will be agressive right out of the gate, book it. it's important for yao to not pick up early fouls so he can stay on the floor.

Actually, your question is the stupid one. They are asking Biedrins for his perspective after defending and being defended by both of these players. I don't know what FT% has to do with anything as anyone can see Yao is better without needing to ask for someone's personal opinion - unless you're a Yao apologist and take offense at any slight at the guy.

considering his scoring, rebounding, shot blocking, fg%, youth, and athleticism....

hard to shoose anyone in the league over dwight.

a better debate would be dwight or lebron?

Nice read, but isn't Biedrins a funny choice for an interview? I'd think that if you asked a traditional center like Kaman or Okafor, or even a defensive specialist like Camby, you'd get a better perspective.

The Magic offensive game plan is simple: Inside out! So Dwight will be the center of their offense! Whereas Rockets' game is confusing right now! You probably see Yao in the high post more thus less shots attempted. Yao will probably pick up 2 quick tick tack fouls in the first few minutes and take him out of his game completely the whole night!

Magic will be concentrate getting Dwight the ball. Will the rockets do the same? It will be a very interesting game tomorrow!

Isn't Howard much quicker , a much better rebounder as obvious as Yao a much better FT shooter? If the guy asked questions like that to make Howard look better, he should mention Yao's FT as well to make it sound fair.

Do you see my point here? Use your logic please, if you have any.

I don't know why some of the other guys are blasting you on this statement. It was a silly question. It's obvious that Dwight is quicker than Yao. Having him ask who the better free throw shooter would be another obvious question (to even it out..) Duh.

Nice interview, good to hear another center's perspective. I think they're fairly balanced in Biedrins eyes.

Quickness isn't defined by stats, which FTs are. It's (quickness) a subjective question given in most circumstances. Hell, ask who's quicker between Andrew Bogut/Yao and Yao might get a few votes. Just because the answer is obvious doesn't make it stupid.

So tell me who the hell in his right mind set would say Yao is quicker or Yao is a better rebounder?

Asking who is quicker and who is a better rebounder is just as stupid as asking who is tallker ,who is a better FT shooter. By only mention those stupid questions in Howard's favor when compare two players doesn't sound fair to me. That's my point. You got it?
