Great find, rimrocker. Joe Biden was 29 years old when he was elected to the Senate, and just squeaked over the age limit of 30 to be a US senator (all of which you already know, of course). That he suffered his own tragedy when he did, and that he was able to continue his political career, as the article points out, is remarkable. I've always liked him, and think he deserves a lot of slack when it comes to his gaffs. We should all feel comfortable with Joe as VP. He's up to the task of being president if, god forbid, that day were ever to come. Barack made a good choice. I wanted Hillary, but Biden is aces.
Biden's gaffes are an overblown thing in that they have little or nothing to do with his competence. Frankly we could use a few more politicians who deviate from talking point occasionally. I expect the fanboys of Ryan to be very disappoited when Biden at least holds his own with Mr one note Ryan. When you get Ryan off message wrt to the budget he sounds just ordinary amd not so crazily sure of himself which is his main attraction. A Republican I know is worried that he comes off like a boy.
"And it’s a bittersweet moment for the entire nation" I'm not sure if Joe Biteme understands what bittersweet mean. This is the best and brightest that you libtards are pushing. Truly pathetic!
I have him on ignore, which makes for a much more pleasant experience. The fellow has no redeeming qualities. No sense of humor, like Trader_J, who makes me laugh from time to time. I have basso there, as well. He has redeeming qualities, but he hides them in D&D.
Biden will dismantle Ryan when it is time to really get down to the facts of the issues. I can hardly wait. Expect Ryan to lose composure more than once.
Yeah, this guy is so popular that he was totally hidden from view at the DNC convention! He's the laughing stock of the ticket -- and that's saying something with The Amateur at the top of the ticket. Dan Quayle and even ADMIRAL STOCKDALE are looking good by comparison.

I sort of expect Biden to best Ryan, too., but it may just be somewhat of a draw. Ryan might indeed lose his composure. He is used to being unreasonably treated like some sort of genius just because he studied the budget and sticks carefully to a few market fundie talking points.
