German Developer Announces Bible MMO Massively multiplayer online role-playing games take players into fantasy realms, distant galaxies, and now, the Bible. German developer FiAA GmbH announced today The Bible Online, an MMORPG and RTS designed to let gamers "reenact and witness" Christian scriptures. You'll notice this article is not categorized as "Humor." The Bible Online: Chapter 1 -- The Heroes is based on the book of Genesis, and will put players in the role of Abraham and his descendants as they set out from their home in Haran to do God's bidding and take control of Canaan. "The Bible Online is developed for players of all ages to easily get closer to the Bible, while enjoying the game," said FiAA GmbH President Dr. Alan Kim. "We plan to service the game in most of the European languages by the end of the year. We will also develop following chapters to cover all the stories of the Bible." Playing as Abraham and his successors Isaac and Jacob, players will have to construct villages, manage resources, negotiate with other tribes, and engage in some seriously old-school Biblical warfare. The Bible Online will be a browser-based game. No installation will be required, and according to Kim, a beta is planned for a September 6. link: http://pc.gamespy.com/articles/111/1115971p1.html
I'm an atheist and I think this is cool. Honestly, this might have been enough to keep me in the fold. But will they look Palestinian?
Dibs on the freaking Devil, and Sodom and Gomorra on a constant loop, unedited. Let's see if these mo-fos are for real. I don't want to see a bunch of dirty blondes and redheads in white robes just glowing.
GTA- Jesus Edition Travel town to town with law enforcement after you. Stop passerbys on common roads and routes. Do jobs that upsets local bosses. Meet prostitutes and lowlifes.
I think that's pretty cool. Though I'm a bit confused about players getting to play Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and also being an MMO. How does that work?
