I recieved this in my email. It looked suspicious so I sent it to ebay. It is a phishing email, looking to get your user name and password. This is the response I got from ebay...
They've had these out for a while now. Never pass information to anyone over the net... period. I'm assuming this is your first one? It won't be your last.
Easy way to avoid phish scams like this is to not click a link within an email to get to a site - especially one asking you to update your password or personal info. Go to the website itself using your browser. Phishing scams have been around for a while and they're successful because they prey on people that just don't know any better.
Because a certain Vermont rock group is notorious for stealing people's financial information. Either that or every single computer term has to be spelled in a c0ol way.
