So what do ya'll think will happen with Beverley's play during the second half? Our history with back-up PG's has turned out quite well. With Douglas gone, will history repeat itself?
awwwww.... i MISS Goran. why'd you have to bring him up??/ j/k.... if beverly is the next Goran then Morey is the next jesus
He seems to like to talk a lot of trash. Lots of hustle, but hopefully his emotions don't get the better of him.
What I like most about his game is the talking of the ****. he talks that hot garbage for no reason; its hilarious.
I've been surprised by it too, but looking at his college stats he averaged 5+ 3PA per game and converted at a 38% clip. I guess it shouldn't be too much of a surprise.
He's exceeded my expectations, I know that much. He made Douglas expendable from that first game on. Plus he's a rookie. Granted an older one (24), but still a rookie.
His shot is streaky, but he plays really hard and he finds 3-point shooters on kick outs. You can tell that McHale is much more comfortable having him on the floor without Lin and Harden compared to Douglas.
Shooting: Same with Tony Douglas. Maybe TD was a little more consistent shooter. Speed: Advantage - Beverly. He seems to be all over the place - a little quicker than TD. Defense: TD. TD defense is solid. Beverly pester PG and pressure them bringing the ball up court. However it seems that TD defends a bit better in term of staying in front of his man and not biting on dribble hesitation. All in all - he's a good backup to Lin. Brings energy and a little attitude to our team. He is the reason why TD was moved.
he played really well tonight!! it seems to me that the entire intensity of the game changes when he is in the game. He is a fierce hustle player!!
I'm definitely liking what I see from Beverley so far. He has great energy and is very disruptive on defense.
I think BEV can work himself up to an alternating starting spot if he keeps up the good work. I wouldnt mind seeing BEV and Lin alternate starting spots.
