It seems that the Rockets and the Warriors are interested in some of the same guys for the head coach position. So, which is the more attractive opening?

Warriors fired their last coach after one season.

Rockets have a trigger happy GM and no stability.

Doubt either look attractive but I am guessing Rockets since they have a better team (tho the Warriors have a better core).

Warriors have an easier division, plus nicer uniforms.

Doesn't Larry Ellison from Oracle own them now?

Depends on if you want to be an asset or not.

    Warriors.

You only have to do half your job and coach offense.

Nah, Ellison actually bid more but Cohan decided not to sell it to Ellison. Sold it to some random dudes (Joseph Lacob and Peter Gruber)

Something makes me think that the results of this poll on this board will be a bit biased.

If the Rockets lease coaches, then the Warriors test drive them - they've had about 6 or 7 in the past decade.

I think the Warriors at this point. There's no telling who will be part of the team next season. That could scare coaches away.

Monta Ellis is a problem as is Curry. We have a guy by the name of Kevin Martin, but he doesn't have the same upside. I love how he plays, but it's difficult to compare his abilities to Monta's.

The Rockets of course. We have a better team, plus the Warriors have already been shell-shocked by Don Nelson. It may take them years to get over that.

I'm gonna go with Curry + Ellis + Lee + Wright.

But I'll be supporting our Rockets no matter who the coach is.

I voted Rockets but forgot to take into account the fact the Oracle is packed no matter how bad the Warriors suck. Same can't be said for Toyota center. But I live in Sacramento so what do i know... as far as players and front office Rockets hands down

GSW. They're a nice young group with very little expectations. The starting roster is actually pretty decent all the way around from the 5 to the 1. Cohan ran that organization so bad that it'd be a challenge to do worse. If you can get a coach to change the culture there to competing on both ends of the the floor, they'd actually be a decent team. Winning culture is the biggest obstacle there.

Despite being a perennial losing team under Cohan, GSW always ranks in the top 10 in market rankings with the potential to become a premier destination. The managing owner (Lacob) was actually involved with the Celts prior to buying the franchise. So the new management isn't that random. I'm not sure if he was part of Celts management though. Promising future for GSW.

    Low expectations, high potential.

So I am the only one who views the fact that this ownership group fired their previous coach after one year as a turnoff?
