he is arguably the best athlete in the league at pg. He should be putting pressure on the ball nonstop and causing turnovers. The rockets have the athleticism to help and recover when he gets beat

    Heck,

I would settle for ANY "D" from Steve.

He is arguably the worst on the ball defender in the NBA, he goes for every fake, and is constantly peeking and letting his man get away when his man doesn't have the ball.

Steve gets lit up by players that he has no business being lit up by.

Truthfully, EG and Steve are the primary reasons, on defense, that the Rockets record is faltering.

The next time Francis jumps to try and alter someone's shot, will be the first.

At least pretend to care on defense, Steve.

Steve and Cat have been torched on defense lately, but it's not all their fault. The Rockets aren't that athletic to be able to cover for these guys' aggresive play. Yao doesn't have the lateral movement or explosive jumps to be a good help defender. Lately, he's been too preoccupied with boxing his man out for the rebound, or he's been just plain hesitant lest he look stupid like when Marbury made him trip over himself.

The real blame, I think, is in the coaching. What's wrong with employing a little zone defense? I know the Rockets were TERRIBLE at it earlier in the season, but can they revisit it at some point?

The guys defense or lack thereof is comparable to Kenny Smiths. The opposing point gaurds seem to get their career highs when they play against Steve. I wish he would put forth the same effort on defense as he does on offense.

Mobley hasn't really. Did you only watch the Wizards game? Mobley has been playing excellent defense. Mobley is doing fine. He gets steals.

THE WORST IS FRANCIS. He's getting beat by.......TYRONN LUE. Tyronne Lue the crappiest player..actually he's pretty good and quick....but anyways. He can barely shoot.....and he was draining his shots and getting past francis easily. :( Francis needs to prevent people from penetrating. And needs to stop peeking and stuff. They just drive at Yao and pass out and make their shots.

WE MUST BE CURSED. Cuz lately.....all the teams have been shooting well against us. It must be our crappy defense...

YAO MING has been torched too. Sadly.......but true. Other centers are like outscoring him. And people are just abusing Yao. He needs to be aggressive and not let people in his house. And he needs to stick his arms up and contest shots. Not just show his hand and run back inside. :(

    MOSES MALONE!

But really. Francis is a great player, but he needs to play defense.

Steve doesn't care about defense because there are no defensive stats, other than steals, to pad. Hence the the only defense Francis plays, is to steal the ball.

Francis really has no clue on what it takes to be a leader.
