Bet on us to start giving some effort when it's already too late to win the game. (i'm not really one of the people that's overreacting to the loss, but i thought this thread idea was kind of funny and has potential, so i posted)
Bet on us to not play Vspan against Dallas and to give more minutes to Padgett over Novak and for me to return to my Grumpy old form.
That is exactly what I was going to say. Seeing the forums today is more depressing than the loss last night. The overreaction is really annoying and moving towards pathetic.
Bet on us to start a bunch of pointless threads to make us feel important! (not this one though, this actually adds some humor... )
But this happens every year. actually every loss, the entire board gets flooded with people complaining how bad we are(and in some years they are right). I know it is anoying, but try not to let it get to you. Or just do as me, and ignore the GARM for a day(unless you see some fun threads).
It has gotten worse over the past few years though. I probably should ignore the GARM for a day, but it is hard because after I've watched the game, I want to see what others have to say(in a more in-depth and non-over reaction type way) and occasionally bounce off thoughts that I had about the game. But player x sucks big time, and we need to trade away our entire roster, just reeks of panic, and lack of in-depth discussion. In reality I blame it on 24 hour news and sports channels, where things are gone over again and again and then the next story comes so quickly because they need something fill in the time. When people had to mostly wait for the sports page the next day, it wasn't like that. They could read an in-depth article, things would sink in, and then sometimes the next day there would be follow up. Now everybody wants answers fast, and believes that any problem deserves extreme actions to solve them. People would cutoff their noses to spite their faces. I certainly wasn't happy with the teams effort on defense, and some of the mistakes I saw last night, but I don't beleive it spells out doom and disaster for an entire season.
On bodog we were supposed to favored by 1 1/2 and if i had any more money in my account i would have taken that bet in a heart beat ... good thing im broke
It's ironic that we were making fun of the "idiotic" posts on the jazz bbs yesterday.... I sure hope no one from other team bbs's are reading ours today.
maybe it has gotten worse because this is supposed to be a championship foundation. does anyone really feel these rockets are gonna compete for a championship. and I'm not just talking about this game. they have to show something this season.
Yes, I believe that it has gotten worse because of the win now environment that has been put out by the organization. The team needs to find its niche real fast before the season starts like the past two seasons. I hope they can get it together and not start off 6-11 or 4-11.
