Not trying to start threads for the sake of starting them, but I figure the one breaking the news is going to and already does have tons of negative posts about being better without him and this being a good thing.

The only point of this one is what the title says. This is a major setback for him and might be the end of his career. He has given some great moments for us. We haven't realized our potential in that time, but its not all on him. Sura's injury, weak bench and Yao plus Rafer's injuries have played a factor. Just to put that out there.

Anyway I hope Tracy can get better and still have a legit future in the league. Good luck to him on everything working out.

We may see him again in a Rox jersey, but if not there have been some great moments.

There will be plenty of negative threads, but please keep this one positive if your post.

Clutch lock away if you feel this is redundant.

I agree, I hope he does whatever is right for him, his career, and his family.

I honestly don't want him back... I think we could trade him in the off-season for someone want his expiring contract and get quite a bit.

Not sure who would be available but im sure there would be some big names.

yeah, best wishes. i'm kinda apathetic about him being out for the season. hard to miss someone when they're really isnt anything to miss about him.

just glad there's no more drama now and we can just go back to playing/winning games.

Don't get all gushy on him yet, I think you will find this is all more T-mac drama in the end. Especially since the team didn't announce this but it was done through T-mac himself. I won't believe it until he has gone under the knife and I want to see the scar. Smoke and mirrors man, smoke and mirrors.

Righto...Lets not remember how he has led this team when Yao was down and we had a scrub like roster, lets just remember the Tmac that has been a shadow of his former self this year and not give him the benefit of the doubt.

    GET WELL SOON TMAC!!

I wish him well in his personal life. I have no hard feelings for him. But as a Rocket fan I wish him gone. Injury or no injury. The sooner the better.

    Couldn't have said it better.

Good luck Tracy, you were on of the most prolific scores in the game, and possibly the funnest to watch in your prime.

    Hope the sugery goes well.

I wish him well in life and in basketball if ever plays again. I have a feeling microfracture surgery is going to be his basketball death sentence, but he probably has a rewarding broadcasting career forthcoming if he wants it. If not, he's earned a lot of money half assing it in this league -- not to mention the $23M he's going to get next year for doing nothing. I think it's safe to say Tracy doesn't need our best wishes in life!

Ditto. He has provided some exciting moments for us, but if he's not going to be back till next year (literally, next year), then he'll be more useful as an expiring contract than as a player. Sad to see it happen to him, this team can never be freakin' healthy.

You're disgusting as a Rocket fan. I've seen so many of your posts, and you don't criticize, you simply throw in as much crap as you can. Are you done accusing him of almost everything?

There are just too many unanswered questions with this whole thing. How is it possible that some doctor(s) thinks he needs microfracture surgery, and a host of others say he can play on it?

Is there a grey area with missing cartilage in the knee where playing on it and getting surgery are both legitimate options?

McGrady said a week ago that season-ending surgery was absolutely a last option. Now, hardly a week later, he concedes that's what is going to happen. If he decided that on his own with his own consultation, and the Rockets medical staff still don't agree with that assessment, then there is something seriously messed up here.

    Amazing thread.
    I agree wholeheartedly.
    Great man. Great player.
I wish the best for him and hope to see him next season in a Rocket's uniform.
    I still believe.

This is a best wishes thread, if you are here to talk trash put it in another thread, otherwise post your wish.

Good luck TMac, get healthy and then come back and play your game.
