I WILL be the only one to say this...and don't get me wrong, I love Clint Eastwood Westerns, and the Outlaw Josey Wales is easily my second favorite Western......but.... .....and I know that most of this guy's other movies just really suck.... .....but there's a valid reason why this movie won so many Oscars..... ....Dances with Wolves
Ooooh, I can't believe I forgot about Tombstone. My one and two remain, but that one is easily third. when is Val going to come out with a new movie? That dude is a friggin genius....between Tombstone and the Doors.
The Wild Bunch The Searchers High Noon Unforgiven Tombstone Dances with Wolves Rio Bravo The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly Pale Rider Tom Horn
I gotta go with Tombstone. Maybe best damned movie ever. Although I have a soft spot in my coal black heart for True Grit.
Anybody ever see "The Long Riders" about the James gang? Made with the Keech brothers, the Carradine brothers, and the Guest (?) brothers.... Overall I'd go for Tombstone as #1.
Tombstone The Good The Bad The Ugly High Noon The Cowboys My name is Nobody aka "Mio nome รจ Nessuno, Il " Butch Casidy & Sundance Kid Just to name a few. DD
El Dorado - also its twin Rio Bravo two movies that are almost exactly the same but with a different guy playing the drunk (Dean Martin in Rio Bravo and Robert Mitchum in El Dorado). The Duke is the best western actor ever and would kick Clint Eastwood's pansy bridge photographing ass.
