Best Way to Eat Fried Chicken Wings - Before, During, and After

    Offshoot of the $5 food thread where I was reminded so much of my fondness for chicken wings that I eschwed my mom's cooking for takeout chicken wings and pork fried rice yesterday.

    This is how I normally eat it.

    Before - absolutely nothing so I won't ruin my appetite

    During - pork fried rice w/ hot sauce. grape soda on the side

    After - Watermelon because fried chicken REALLY dries my mouth.


    How do you eat your chicken wings?

    the KFC type, or the deep fried chinese restaurant type?

    i'm assuming its the chinese restaurant type, so yes pork friend rice is ftw.

    i can always chow down on some good chicken wings, even if i'm not hungry, + lots of napkins

    deep fried chinese style only. KFC is disgusting and you wind up eating more flour than chicken.

    The thread yesterday reminded me of how much I like fried chicken wings, too, so I went to my favorite place. They've closed for three weeks for Christmas. Just locked it up for vacation. It nearly ruined my afternoon.

    I can't help it. I'm gonna order some more for lunch today. This time I'm getting 20 packs of hot sauce lol

    now I just have to find a place in Upper East Side that sells watermelon

    I've never done this before with Chinese fried wings, but I'd imagine it'd go fantastic over waffles smothered with butter and syrup.

    I'll be going to Timmy Chan for some wings and rice tonight.

    old habits...grape soda was 50 cents and cheaper than coke. and I don't know who came up with the idea of eating watermelon after chicken wings, but he was a genius. nothing hydrates you better than watermelon after chicken wings. people who eschew the melon for water or something else simply don't know what they're missing.

    The Chinese Chicken Wings have an advantage of having a more crispy batter, and I think it can withstand the syrup and butter from making the batter soggy. Chicken and waffle rocks!

    dont wanna go too far off topic, but theres a place, which i worked for as a delivery driver many years ago

    panda garden, its on hw6 in sugarland, they deep fry their chicken wings, then stir fry it with some onions and lemon juice and jalapenos, its really REALLY REALLY good, but eat it there while its fresh
