As a huge fan of war movies I thought this could be an interesting topic... I wish their war more great war movies of late, like there were in the 60s and 70s. Anyway, here is the list I've managed to come up with but I've also given you the option for "Other" just tell us what "Other" is would ya?

I voted for The Great Escape... as much as I love Saving Private Ryan and the newer war flicks I've loved The Great Escape every since I was a little kid.

Some of my others that aren't listed are, Tora! Tora! Tora!, The Patriot, We Were Soldiers, Schindler's List, Patton, The Great Raid, The Bridge On the River Kwai, 30 Seconds Over Tokyo, The Pianist and Good Morning Vietnam.

Glory is one of my favorite movies but as I'm not sure if I would call it the greatest war movie of all time. Some of the other great war movies I would consider not on your lists are:
    Patton
    Tora Tora Tora
All Quiet on the Western Front
    Das Boot

"Full Metal Jacket" is my pick but I am biased towards Kubrick movies. Another great Kubrick war movie is "Paths of Glory" with Kirk Douglas.

All great flicks, I saw Patton again recently and had forgotten just how good it really was.

I voted Glory, even though The Thin Red Line is very underrated.
