I have been reading from different place which is the best team in the NBA The Spurs, Suns, SOnics, & WOlves. The games I have been watch the Spurs and the Suns look like the teams to beat. the both have played extremly well. The sonics I think are playing above where they should be and I see them coming back down to earth. Im not to sure of the Wolve they are starting to have too many distractions which could hurt them. I really dont see anybody better than SA or PHX.

Something that I don't believe enough fans of the NBA consider when it comes to talking about who's the "best," is the season (plus playoffs) is a marathon. If you're going to win, you're not talking only about 82 games/4.5 months, you're talking about over 100 games and over 6 months!

I would separate between "who's the best" and "who's the hottest." The hottest team in the league at any one point isn't neccessarily the best in the league (unless that point is early June).

At the moment, Phoenix and Sacramento are both on 9-1 hot streaks, and SA, Seattle, and Denver are at least 8-2.

Phoenix has only lost to: Clev, Minny, and Sac. All winning teams, and all 3 were by 5 points or less. What's crazy is, they've blown out just about everyone they've beaten. That's nuts. They're averaging a plus 12 point differential. And that's including the losses.

San Antonio has the league's best record so far (though 3 losses are the same for Seattle (15-3) and Phoenix (14-3)), but all 3 losses were against lesser teams - Seattle debatably. SA is the only other team the has such a big pt diff - and it's also +12. [to put this in perspective, Clev is next with +4, and the vast majority of winning teams are closer to +2].

Sonics have been shooting like it's 1975, and have lost against Boston, Portland, and the Clips. They've had more than a handful of unconvincing wins (NJN x 2). They live and die by the jumper, and that would suggest that their run is living on borrowed time.

The Kings opened up 0-3, but have only lost 2 games since: Minny and Seattle. On the flipside, their schedule has been rather fluff (but they did beat Phoenix on the road).

    Hottest Team in the L:
    Phoenix

    Best Team:
    Spurs
