Sports bar, exclusively? I've never been to one in Houston I liked to be honest. The Creek chain of bars doesn't have a great TV setup IMO. Only advice I have is don't go to Champs in Uptown. People seem to like Woodrow's but I cant really comment on their setup for sports viewing.
Yeah, I was gonna say in that area Champs, but that really isn't saying much. Eat before you go there as the food is horrible but they do have a deece setup for viewing different games. I'd honestly go to BWW on Washington instead and that's pretty sad.
I don't know if I'm more disappointed in you for your weak suggestions or more disappointed in Houston for not having better options. Either way, it's a sad day.
That sucks for y'all. I can count at least five different sports bars in Katy alone that I would recommend if he was out this way.
Pretty much it. I prefer not to be around popped collared guys with elbow patches who reek of Chrome and Bud Light and the hipster/hippie/douche tries too hard to be "different" culture that invades these places. If I want to get out and watch a game I just hit up Canyon Creek since it's a couple of blocks behind my home.
My criteria are good tvs w/HD that is used and sound that is played. It puts me on monkey tilt when they have flat screens everywhere with no HD. Twin Peaks, BWW, Little Woodrow's (no sound)...I've heard good things about The Lot...nothing around here is great. Twin Peaks is always so crowded, but the food is okay, the tvs are plenty, and the sound is on during local games. The drink selection is good too.
I used to go to Canyon all the time when I lived off Detering. That place was ok but they never cared about Rockets' games. I always had to ask them to put them on and of course no sound. But the atmosphere there was cool, very laid back and the drink selections are good. I pretty much only go to Little J's off Washington ave. It is laid back and there is always Rockets audio on (except live music night on Friday). They have lots of tv's too and you can bring your dogs inside. The owner is a friend of mine and I think he has a great set up.
360 Sports Lounge on Washington. I don't why they call it a lounge, which makes it sound like a club. But it's not a club. I also like Twin Peaks - like Hooters, but better in every way.
Yep, your description on Canyon is why I don't like it or any of the Creeks for games. LHF's description of douches & hipsters is why everywhere else sucks. Maybe we should open a sports bar for cool guys, like me. A cool guys sports bar.
I miss Live . Come on Stack, we are hurting here. You gotta bring that **** back! These days in that area you are looking, I'd say BW3's on Washington. Bar area of course. 360 is nice, but full of d-bags and way overpriced.
