Kids In The Hall- saw them live in 2000 and got to meet 4 out of 5 of them.

    THey are all hysterical.

    Three SNL casts:

    Original
Dana Carvey, Mike Meyers, Chris Farley, David Spade, etc.
Tim Meadows, Horatio Sans, Chris Kattan, Will Ferrell, Molly Shannon, etc.

    Monty Python's Flying Circus
    Kids in the Hall
The State (that was a funny show)

I've never heard of The State. What's that about? Who's in it? When did it air? or Where was it seen?

Mr Show. Mr Show. And... Mr Show. More consistently brilliant than even Monty Python, I think (giving the Pythons their due, of course. They rule).

The Fast Show, which occasionally showed here on BBC America and was called 'Brilliant!' for some weird reason. 'Suits you sir!'

Kids in the Hall is pretty funny too.

Maybe I've just missed most of the good stuff on SNL, but it seems awfully patchy to me from the reruns I've watched. And way too longwinded or something.

The State was a short-lived (like 2 years) Canadian show similar to Kids in the Hall but it was on MTV.

    Here's the IMDB listing:

Anyone remember "House of Buggin'"? it was a John Leguizamo SNL-type show on Fox about 6 years ago. I don't remember the specific skits, just that it was funny.

Personally, I liked the earlier Mad TVs the VERY best. However, last week's was perhaps the funniest one I've seen. "Lord of the Bling" . . . "We're motha****ing Talking"

"the state" was definitely OUT THERE, but it cracked me up! It wasn't on very long, but you'll still see actors from it popping up on tv now and then. The dude who does those new snickers commercials was on it, as is the guy who plays "phil" on the tv show Ed. Anyway, great show, but it didn't last long. A little too random and weird for people at the time.....

While it wasn't my favorite, I enjoyed the short-lived late-night show called "The Newz", especially their Politically Correct Classic Movies sketch (or whatever it was called).

Kids In The Hall is probably my favorite (speaking of, if you have a change to see "The Wrong Guy" with Dave Foley, I recommend it).

My personal favorite is Monty Python's Flying Circus. Benny Hill was hilarious. The Muppet Show was awesome.

Will Farrell is an unheralded comedic genius.

    Darryl Hammond as well.

TheFreak, wouldn't that be 'humour'? :p

Wow, hating *all* of it. That must take a lot of energy.

    Lynus, The Muppets! Brilliant thought!
