    "Dumping Eddie Griffin"

Without that, a lot of the rest wouldn't happen as the team would be overly focused on rehabbing a project. He would have hinderedm, and perhaps prohibited, our current developement and progress just because of his off court mess.

    2nd - trading Moochie
    3rd - picking up MJ

I'm with you, but I put down "Trading Moochie." Not only did we get rid of our most damaging player, but it was also a wakeup call to the team that nobody's job is safe and that the time for relaxing is over.

It also enabled us to snag Mark Jackson, at last providing a non-hindrance to back up Steve.

Mostly though, I just really hated Moochie. :p

Well signing Mark Jackson...the jury is still out on that one. He's played like 3 games. Trading Moochie...he wasn't getting that many minutes anyway. Dumping Eddie Griffin...Ouch that just burns me. That dog cost 3 high picks, 2 of which are playing good ball right now. What a butthead. Signing Jimmy Jackson was cool. He fills in for Posey quite well. Still probably would've rather had Posey if the price was right. So I gotta say keeping the core dudes together. Plus JVG is a upgrade, at least for this ypung team.

Signing Pike was significant too-that was not a voting option.

    Seriously-I voted signing Jim jackson.

Signing Jim Jackson. When we got rid of Posey, I thought "oh ****, who's going to fill in for him now? Glen Rice?" But JJax has been far better than expected.

I was thinking of putting the Moochie trade since we olost the out of control dribbler and picked up one of the best assist men ever to play the game.

BUT, Jim Jackson has played so well this season. He has been great. We would not have the same record if we didn't have JJ.

I like the influx of veterans not just JJ but MJ and Spoon I think we needed some veteran leadership and experience on the team. I think that was a problem from last year... I also enjoy the change in attitude .. instead of excuses or patting ourselves on the back we just play the game.

all right! i voted jim jackson w/ 52% of you who know whats up.

JJ is our get it done man. our consistent go to ironman every night. what a contributor he has been to our team this season.
and how about his 3pt shot? the guy can get them down usually over .500 every night.

Definitely picking up JJ. He does so much -- hits big shots, brings the ball up the court, and rebounds.

Oh, and he plays tough D.

Remember early on in the season when we all marveled at how physical he played on D? (There were a couple early games where he just threw people around.)

Well, JJ set the defensive tone for this team. I think the other guys saw how tough he was playing and it helped them buy into JVG's hard-working defensive scheme.

I think of JJ as the glue whenever he's out on the floor.

Not only was he the best roster move this year, I could see him becoming one of my favorite Rockets before he's done. Kind of a Mario Elie with more skills.

Signing Jackson was HUGE. He's a savvy veteran who knows how to win. He does all the little things, and he's not afraid to get dirty. His leadership has been undeniable this season, and he always seems to hit the big shot.

Signing Jackson was one of the most underrated moves in the NBA last offseason.

Signing Padgett, Piatkowski and Mark Jackson were all nice transactions, as well. Nothing flashy, but all three are solid role players who know how to play the game.

Brilliant pickups. I still can't believe this team was able to move the horrible contracts of Moochie Norris and Glen Rice in the same season. Amazing.
