Okay, I know that we have done these before, but it has been a while.

I saw a Foreigner video the other day, and seeing that reminded me of how great a voice Lou Gramm has.

So, he is my pick (for now) as the person with the best rock voice.

Now, if we subdivide this into heavy metal - then no question, it begins and ends with Rob Halford.:D

    THE Bruce Dickinson?

I'm sorry, but if Bruce Dickinson wants a little more cowbell maybe we should give him more cowbell.

Lou Gramm was ok. IMHO Paul Rodgers (Bad Company) was better.

In recent music, I think these two stand apart from everyone else.

good lord....that SNL joke totally overshadows the REAL Bruce Dickinson......of Iron Maiden

    not the SNL Bruce D.

    Finn*....good call there

Paul Rodgers definitely deserves to be high on the list. I cant believe I forgot him.:(

omg...like those grunge guys even deserve to be mentioned in the same thread as Plant, Rodgers, Gramm,etc...

Robert Plant - There is just no one near his level. Not only his voice but some of the sounds he made and the extent to which he was able to change his voice is just unparalleled, in my opinion. Just such a great singing voice... (he's the lead singer of Led Zeppelin for you poor, pathetic souls who didn't know that).

    Scott Weiland (STP)
    Curt Cobain
    Chris Cornell
    John Fogerty (CCR)

The fact that you consider either Tool or Soundgarden "grunge" is laughable by itself. Get a clue about something before you post.
