After reading Castor27's thread and ranting about my hatred for 104, I was wonderin what yall like to turn the station to. I rarely ever listen to the radio because of CD-Rs and my MP3 player, but I sometimes listen to the radio.

Hard to decide between 94.5 and 101.1 - 94 plays a lot more new stuff and good stuff from the late 90's/early 00 years but 101 plays a lot more classics. 93.7 is also good too but it's a little bit before my time.

I wanna know what the best rap stations are....I know there's something in the 97's and 104.9 but is there anything else?

    104 is the worst!!!

So my pick is a tie between 94.5 and 101.1

    610! [IMG]

I don't do FM radio anymore. I swore I'd never listen to 101 again after they fired Stevens and Pruett and I've kept my promise. Too much "nu-metal" on 94.5. All the other stations are crap.

It's either CD's or AM for me.

93.7 is my favorite. Most of the songs they play have stood the test of time.

104 is the worst by far. Not just because of the horrific Top 40 crap they play, but also because of their DJs. Sam Malone is the least funny person on the face of the earth(ok, maybe he's 2nd behind Whoopi).

I used to listen to 91.7 a bunch, but now at work I listen to the 93.7 morning show then switch it to 106.9 for '80s music the rest of the day. I listen to 610 a a lot during the NBA season too.

Agreed 100%! Although in the afternoons after Rome, I switch to 106.9 for some 80s tunes before Rich and Charlies' show at 4pm.

    90.1 FM
610 AM -- I *LOVE* Rich and Charlie's show. Rome is also awesome. I sometimes listen in the morning, but if it's 8 to 9, I'll hit the BBC on 90.1.

Forgot about 90.9! Great cure for road rage. Also if you drive out 290, you can pick up Prairie Views station. They play great jazz during the day and 80's rap at night.

Anyone know how much it would cost to buy an FM radio station in Houston?

If you won the lottery and bought one, what kind of programming would you put on it?

94.5 for me. even mix 96.5 is fine with me cause I love the songs they play from maybe just a few years ago, something like Fastball "The Way".

    i have 12 stations programmed on my radio: 93.7, 94.5, 92.9, 96.5, 97.9, 104.9, 99.1, 100.3, 101.1, 104.1, 107.5, and 106.9.

i pretty much rotate through them listening to the best song that's on at any given time and avoiding commercials at all cost.

i would say i listen to 101.1 and 97.9 the least (somehow sunny is no longer in last) and 104.1 and 106.9 the most. 92.9 and 107.5 are probably 3rd and 4th.
