    Congratulations to the following who won in the first half of the preliminary round:

    East:
    NYKRule, Yetti, Invisible Fan, Elvis Costello, ROCKSS, Samurai Jack, ESource, deepellumrocket
    Midwest:
    3814, Nolen, boomboom, Summer Song Giver, Oski2005, Drexlerfan22, dimsie, Rockets R' Us

    dimsie wound up beating Azadre by 1 vote and Samurai Jack beats his brother Roc Paint by virtue of the tiebreaker...I voted for SJ.:p

    So, the first round matchups for those 2 brackets will be posted on Sunday night at 9:00 CST. Meanwhile, the 2nd half of the preliminary round will need to be voted on from now until 9:00 CST, Sunday night, November 10th . Once again, you can email your vote (no one did that for the last one) by using the letter icon in my profile.

    Not complaining by any means, but just wondering how I got a bye. I thought that was for people who'd done well in a previous tournament, which is certainly not me as I only started posting a few months ago (even though I've been lurking for years). My votes later. I know you just can't wait.

    Nah, it is not that. The problem was that I had to add 32 more posters to get it to work where everyone had a match-up or I could have deleted 32 people.

    So, I picked the number in between 64 and 128 in 96. That meant that 32 people would get byes, so I then took the seeds 1 through 8 in the four rounds to be the ones to get the byes.

    Not really complaining, or try to pull a Joepa saying it costs me vote, but my stupid username is michecon not michehcon. seriously though I need to win this one. I have no chance in wining the US presidency ever, I doubt I can get the vote for Chinese president either--there is a really no voting system yet. This is the only chance I can be voted to win.

    In case you don't remember who I am. I'm the one who bring to you the heated debate with hayesstreet in the off season dullness, translate Chinese articles about Yao Ming, and occasional help out on the topics of economics or hot actress :D
