    Derrick freakin Rose.

My goodness, he has been clutch in the last 15 game or so with their hardest part of the schedule almost coming to an end. I've heard that the Bulls never came back with a winning record after the circus trip since the 97 Bulls with Jordan.

I've never seen anyone as quick as he is and his body control around the basket is amazing. He might not have the assist of Rondo or the shot of Deron William, but he does everything so well that it balances out.

If he can keep this up, I see no reason why he can't get MVP.

Too early so far but he is def top 3 pg in the game now and in the discussion for MVP if he can keep it up and the Bulls win more games.

Right now Rose is shooting .386 from 3 while taking 4.2 3's a game     If he stays above 35% at this rate he will be UNGAURDABLE.

If the refs actually respected him and gave him his free throws he could be a 30 ppg scorer right now.

lol @ people who said rondo is better than rose

I'd put him right up there.

Unfortunately though (beacause i hate anything and everything about the mavs) I think ppl are really looking at nowitzki right now also because of the streak.

I heard the Bulls annoucer said something of the effect that the refs takes Rose athletic ability for granted, meaning he's too good athletic wise that they shouldn't need to give him super star calls.

Oh yea, I laugh at the people who said Wall was as good or better. Lol
There was a thread on this like a month ago.

Give it some time of Rose being mentioned as a super star and he'll get even more calls than he already gets. He is like Lebron but in a PG's body. He might end up being better.

If I was Lebron I would have wanted to go to Chicago instead of Miami.

wall is a rookie. he does have the potential to be better than rose b/c he's just as quick but a little more athletic.and he already has a jumper (although that can still be improved).

Sorry but Deron Williams is still the best pg in the NBA.

Westbrook is a lesser name than Rose but he's getting to the line plenty. The difference is their style of play. One announcer called Westbrook "a bull in a china shop" and pointed out Rose is smoother and more adept at minimizing contact. Westbrook relishes contact on both ends and uses physicality as a way of dominating. Rose doesn't do this as much. Westbrook also takes fewer outside jumpers than Rose.

Westbrook is also a nastier player and is developing quite the mean-streak, which is why he plays more physical. After last night, he and CP3 won't be exchanging Christmas cards.

I'm not saying Rose always shies away from contact, but he doesn't enjoy it (and cause it) enough. At the same time, I agree he gets fewer calls than he should. Maybe if he took another page from Westbrook and wore his emotions on his sleeve all the time, the refs would be more cognizant. Sometimes I think he's too nice. I expect this will change because Rose will shed his on-court humility as time goes by.

I think it's safe to say that the the Point Guard position is now the deepest position in the NBA in terms of potential superstars.

I don't think we will be asking when is the last time a Great PG led his team to a title in the next few years.

Rose actually mentioned he isn't very good at looking for contact to get to the free throw line. When he goes up for his shot he tends to try to avoid the contact.

his speed is sort of an issue for calls, he's so quick it's hard to get the soft fouls, because the refs just thinks its his own momentum.

Rondo is playing with Team Hall of Fame, they're 18-4 and not even playing that well.

Deron Williams is the best PG in the league. Dirk is the leading candidate for MVP

Rose is in the top 3 for both categories however

rose is faster, jumps higher and has a better jumper. So what advantage does wall have over him except maybe court vision?

Wall only has a 30 inch standing vert, that is not impressive, just ask clutchcityreturns. DRose beat him in standing vert, max vert, lane agility, and 3/4 court sprint. And John wall's wingspan is only 1.5 inches more than Rose's.

So where on earth do you get the idea that Wall is more athletic? Because he looks more athletic on the court?? Well that is subjective so it means nothing that you think that

Wall is a rookie while Rose isn't.

Wall is off to a better start to his rookie career than Rose. Does that mean he's better than Rose? No

But he could be, guess we will have to wait and see.

Rondo's ability to run the offense is crazy and his defense is unmatched by a point guard in this league. I'd take Rondo still, because that's what a PG should do. The dishes out 14 dimes a game. You guys realize that's 4 more than the next guy (Chris Paul)??

In terms of scoring and finishing, yeah, Rose is on another level.

There are so many great young PGs in the league right now. Make me wish that we had something better than two one-dimensional PGs.
