What are some good bars in downtown to just chill and have a couple of drinks with your boys at? Preferably places that make someone feel "at home" in a way, drinks are reasonably priced, got some hunnies, some good music (anykind). Where do ya usually chill at?

Also, where is a good place to watch the Rockets games during the season? I always watch them at the house, but tend to get kinda loud and bother the people around me. I would like to be with some die hard fans like myself.

Downtown...Warren's Inn - 307 Travis, in Market Square. Cool place to chill. For Rockets games downtown, go to Live Sports Cafe, owned and operated by our own Stack, at 407 Main Street (on the light rail at the Preston Street stop). Lots of big screens, great beer and drink selections, and really good food.

Molly Maquires on 1960 and Kuykendahl. Good jukebox, lots of TV's, pool, darts, friendly waitress's, $4 pitchers on Thursday nights. Never crowded, plenty of parking.

    Pffffffft!

    Y'all are waaaayyyy off.

Best place to chill in downtown, bar none, is Lone Star on Travis. I love that place. Very cozy.

And not a freakin' hippie in the bunch!

After class my fellow law nerds and I go to the Flying Saucer on Main, tons of beers on tap and bottle. Food's good too. Not a lot of TV but it is a good place to chill. Couches and big chairs in the back and upstairs. Almost, forgot, the waitresses wear cute little mini (kilt-like) skirts and knee high socks. He he. On Wednesday they have keep the glass nights for the Ale's.

Me and my nerdy musician friends are planning on, one day, invading that place, taking all the seats, and refusing to let anyone put a quarter in the jukebox.

Because then, it would be a pretty cool place.

Hey hey hey hey!!! I used to live in the suburbs. I prefer wheat bred (especially the honey oat), and I don't drive an SUV...unless you consider a 96 Blazer with 90,000 miles an SUV. But what the hell, it's paid off!!!

How 'bout The Tavern on Waugh and West Gray? Am I hip now?

When you kids grow up, you will realize the best place to chill is with your girl/boy @ Marfrales (sp?) on West Grey.

What about the Baker St. Pub in Rice Village? That place is solid.

Anything but Sam's Boat in Sugar Land. That is the place you go once every year or so, and run into people that you went to high school with. Generally they are still living at home, and "taking some classes at HCC." These are same guys that you thought were cool to hang out with in high school. Now their weekends are spent at Sam's Boat Sugar Land, or at house parties hitting on 16 and 17 yr. olds.
