Not online. I'd prefer Westside or Central. I've done Warehouse Music and did pretty good, but I was just wondering if anyone had sold to Soundwaves or Cactus or any other place and got pretty good prices. Thanks.
You'll get better prices then all of those places too... unless you are selling an extensive Yanni or Michael Bolton collection.
Yeah, I understand that. Right now, I'm going for convenience over price. Anyone have any suggestions.
I've done Soundwaves and Half-Price Books. I got crap for money though. You'd be lucky and I do mean LUCKY to get even 2 bucks each.
Half.com is a good option too. I know you may be looking for convenience, but they ass-rape you in stores when you sell to them, I'd try a pawn shop over one of those places. I guess if you need quick cash anything will do though.
That's the same suggestion as earlier. I have around 65 or so I wanna get rid of. I never ever listen to them and they're collecting dust. I'll be happy with $120 of beer money to last a month. (or weekend)
I feel your pain on this one, RM95. I have close to 100 or so CDs that I will probably never listen to again. But I find it hard to go to some place and get no more than $4 bucks a piece for them. And I don't want to sell over eBay or Amazon because you have to fill out a tax form for business (I know you do for selling on Amazon) and like you said, it is not very convenient. I guess I will hold onto mine for now and eventually put them in a box in storage. Who knows - I may get in the mood to hear some Celine Dion one day in the future, LOL.
Movie Trading Company... They are owned by Blockbuster, they have good coupons in the paper on some Sundays to get a better trade..
Unless they are CD's in fairly decent demand and in perfect condition, you're going to be hard pressed to get $2 each in any store. Half.com is the only place I sell CD's. You post your price and let shoppers do the rest. Tax forms? I don't know what you're talking about.
Try this site www.ebay.com its good. Not that popular but it gets the job done kinda like Ryam Bowen last nite.
You never emailed. Send me a list of what you have. If it's good, you can schlep them to New York and I'll by the lot.
I'm gonna shoot you one next week. I'm still waiting to see when exactly we're getting in, where we're staying, etc. I ain't lugging 65 CDs up there though. BTW, I'd use half.com, but I'd rather not have to go to the post office 65 times. As it is, that place is a pain to go to the one time a month I go. Guess I'll try Warehouse Music.
save them for the next time you make a trip to austin. cheapos on 9th and lamar is the best. if they are decent cd's you can expect about 3-4 bucks apiece.
Just imagine if those 16 million people had never bought Cracked Rear View in the first place....Hootie and the Blowfish never would have made it big and then crashed back down to earth, and we wouldn't have to watch Darius Rucker embarrasing himself in Burger King commercials... Only you can prevent crappy CD purchases...
Obviously dude doesnt take things as serious as you. Its not like he sold out or anything.... if im in that position- a one time successful musician that is offered to do a silly commercial that is obviously ridiculous and the money is there? ya im doing it.
