I just want to know the best place to park. I really do not want my car towed so if anybody can help me out PLEASE!! Young Rockets fan over here trying to save as much money as possible because I really do not have alot. Planning on going to the Rockets vs Clippers game (On Saturday) & yes this is my 1st time going driving. Rockets are 2-0 when I go!! Any tips would help, but my main concern is parking
That something I was looking for a cheap place to park. I appreciate the help!! So there isn't any LEGAL place to park that's free?
u could park at the metro station and take the bus into downtown..not sure if parking is free or not..
We usually just try and start to find a spot on the street off of Dallas or around that area. Just look at the signs and make sure you park where you are allowed. If you don't want to risk parking on the street, there are lots close to the TC between Austin/La Branch but they can be around $20, maybe a little lower if you get there early.
Some of those buses only run until certain times so you have to make sure that the bus doesn't stop running before the game ends.
Well then you should have asked if there was free parking because cheap isn't the same thing as free lol. I think the meters are free after 6 and on the weekends, but not entirely sure. Can be hard to find a spot though, especially for a weekend game vs. a more popular opponent (never thought I'd say that about the Clippers). However, there is plenty of parking available for $5 that's not too long a walk- I use the lots on Clay directly down the street from Toyota Center. $5 is pretty cheap man, especially considering how close it is.
If you're coming from south Houston, you can use this place and take the Metro Rail to the Bell exit: http://www.ridemetro.org/SchedulesMaps/ParkRide/Fannin.aspx I love taking the rail to the games, but I am lucky enough to be able to park at my dad's house and walk a few blocks to get on it.
Caroline @ Pease or any of the surrounding streets. I've been to 8 games this season, parked there 7 times. It's free after 6pm on most days. Just check the pay station after you park to make sure there is no fee.
I usually walk that distance to games because I work off of Fannin and Dallas so I'm used to it but I know some people may consider it a bit. It's definitely worth saving $15 IMO though.
Park on clay at the parking garage for creme de la creme. $5 and its closer than any parking. Garage I know
I want a free parking space but I'm not sure if there is one that's why I asked like that. Either way I appeciate everyones help THANKS!!
We've had season tickets for about 5 years now and always park at this parking garage at the corner of LaBranch and McKinney. It's about three blocks from the stadium, secured in a garage and is only $5.00! I'm convinced it's the best parking deal available on game day.
