Hey guys, I'm a BIG wing lover, and enjoy going out and getting some with some friends, as well as taking them back home and watching whatever game is on at the time, rather it be the Rockets, Stros, Texans, or a big sporting event. My question is where are the best wings you've eaten at? I've tried Buffalo Wild Wings, Wings N More, and Wing Stop. But by far, the best wings I've ever eaten would be Bonfire Wings! It's located on Woodforest, and they're the only one of their kind. Serving up delicious wings, as well as great sides such as seasoned fries, boudain balls, crawfish etoufee, and gumbo, they are completely unmatched by any other wing place that I can think of.
Try House of Bowls in Chinatown... Bellaire and Corporate... Its a chinese restaurant and there are no crazy flavors... but trust me, their wings are AMAZING. Their french toast with peanut butter and condensed milk is the bomb, too...
I'm a big fan of Wing Stop -- the fries have salt, black pepper, and sugar on them, and the Lemon Pepper wings are the real deal. Cajun (which is essentially their Original Hot flavor with creole seasonings) and Garlic Parmesan are also delicious.
I've tried Wing Stop.....they're not bad, but they're certainly not what Troy Aikman talks them up to be lol. Never tried the lemon pepper. I'll have to keep that in mind.
Wingstop's wings suck. If you want some REALLY good wings. Go to HEB or some other grocery store, and buy a package of wings. grill them for an hour or so, then toss them in a big bowl of wing sauce....and toss them back on the grill. They'll have be bigger, and have more meat on the bones then anything you can find in a restaurant....and they'll be healthier because they aren't fried. I'm making some more tomorrow.
Dude, their wing shops, not steakhouses. I just posted it for you to get more ideas, not to say it was a duplicate thread. My vote is for Hooters Bentley wings, btw. Something about that heat and the Hooters hot sauce they use..... *drool*
Sorry bro, thanks for the idea though. I absolutely hate Hooters wings. Not much meat on them, VERY overrated imo.
I agree... as a big fan of wings, I've ended up pleasantly surprised by Wingstop.. they've got decent flavoring on their hot & on their lemon pepper, the two flavors our family tends to get.
Wing Stop wings flavors are the only thing that make them decent to me. Their wings usually end up overcooked pieces of leather with hardly any meat on them. I also hate the fact that I was dissed for wearing a Rockets cap into a WingStop by an employee, so I've sworn not to support that crappy establishment.
Best wings I've had were at this place call Radio City Hall in Upper West Side in NYC. They shut down though. Damn they were good!
Spicy Garlic from Buffalo is probably my favorite. For a really good wing that's off the radar go to Crazy Cajun on 290. What's the hottest wing in Houston? I've had Bentley's from Hooters, Atomic from Wing Stop, and Blazin from Buffalo. I would say they go Blazin, Atomic, and Bentley on a scale from hottest to least hot. Anything hotter then this?
Bentley isn't that hot. They're not trying to kill you with the heat. I've had Blazin' and that's really hot. I've eaten the Atomic at Wing Stop, but for some reason don't recall how hot it was other than it was pretty hot. I haven't eaten at Wing Stop in about 5 or 6 years, though. If you're ever in Florida, go to Munchies 420 Cafe. They make wings that could kill somebody with the heat level. Go on YouTube and watch videos. I'd be scared to even attempt more than 1 wing after reading how they make them. There's a video of at least 1 guy who actually completed their wing eating challenge. That guy must have a stomach lined with concrete.
Wow, and I honestly don't think the Blazin' at BWW was that hot. I mean it was hot!, but not a big deal as I thought it would be.
Wing Stop is the bomb. Great fries, not many sauces, but who cares... the ones they do have are good.
