    I need a new barber.

My previous barber did a great job at a great price, but he died. I'm trying to find someplace that constantly does a great job and doesn't charge too much money.

Where do you get your hair cut and how much does it cost?

My barber is a dullard but he’s free and always available. No wait, knows exactly what I want.

This is how it should be. When you find a good barber it’s till death do us part. Good barbers have a special place in heaven.

This is a great family owned barbershop if you’re close. 3 generations working there.

He was Vietnamese, and his family worked there, too. My son and I went in to get our usual haircuts. His chair was unmanned, which was unusual for a Saturday). We asked if he had the day off. They said that he had died and pointed to his counter. It usually had hair product bottles on it, but instead, it had flowers and cards. We asked how he had died, and they said, in broken English, "heat stroke". I suspect they may have said (or meant) "head stroke" because it happened this past winter.

I had previously tried getting my hair cut by others at his place, but they all did a terrible job. So I haven't been back. Over the past few months, I've tried different barbers with not-very-good results. Cutthroat gave me a modern kid's haircut (buzzed on the sides, longer on top, with a hard part) which was too much damn money (about $40) and grew back terribly.

I tried Doug's on 19th, but Doug died last year and his buddies don't do a great job.

Still trying to find a great haircut for a good price.

Thanks for the recommendation. How much do they charge for a men's haircut?

Like 15 bucks if that. My hair is long so I haven’t been in a while but they’re really good guys. I remember I used to just hand them a 20 and be good with tip. If you end up going tell them the rockets guy with the beard sent you (Troy). They might not remember but it would be cool if they did. I used to tell them everything that was going on with the team when I was there.

Go find you a Asian strip center with a barber shop in it. That sweet Asian lady is going to do you right and only want 10 bucks for your hair trimmings.

I know a place with scantily clad women if you’re open to driving to league city.

I've heard Gents is good, but too rich for me.

I can go to any barber:

1 inch left on the top. #2 on the sides. Square the back.
