Checked out ebay, but nothing of note there. Figured I'd try WalMart next.

Any other ideas to find the best deals? New or used?

Used? I have no idea. I know Best Buy is offering 36 months, no interest for HDTVs >$799 right now though.

Flat screen. 36 or larger. Other than that, I'm flexible.

i went to Walmart and they just switched out the old floor models with the new,
they told me they would sell me the floor models for dirt cheap.

the walmart employees were saying they were going to buy 32inch lcds for $300.

    Online, I like onecall.com

I've found www.ecost.com to be okay. They have some really good deals sometimes if you don't mind refurbished.

As far as a store, Conn's can be fun sometimes in that they have the same product but will negotiate heavily with you, so you can end up getting a good deal and if you like haggling, get to walk out feeling like you negotiated your way into a bargain, so to speak...

You probably want at least a 40 inch tv.

Best deals can be found online (and it's perfectly safe)

    Slickdeals.net

    Tigerdirect.com

    Newegg.com

Go to retail stores to pick out a tv, look at their prices (Fry's is usually the cheapest), then go online and find a cheaper deal. Amazon also has good deals. You should save a few hundred that way

When you say "FLAT SCREEN", do you mean the older generation Flat Screens like the 4:3 tube TVs that need digital converters, or the new 16:9 "thinner" screens?

I am imagining you mean "THIN" ones.

Sam's club and Costco. Better warranties and better prices.

Go to BestBuy or frys and find the best deal and then goto conns and they beat it by 10 percent of the difference and you can haggle with conns like buying a car

Sam's and Costco have some great bargains. The Fry's ad in the paper is a good lead as well.

Sorry but whoever doesn't buy a TV from Amazon is a moron. At the least check the prices on there before purchasing from anywhere else. On 50 inch plus plasmas and lcds they'll save you almost upto a thousand or more compared to BB.
