So let's say you hate traffic.

    Let's say you love fireworks.

Let's say you need to find a place that'll give you a bunch of what you love, and a little of what you hate, and you need it in Austin for tonight.

Reaching out to my fellow Austinauts.

We live out in Round Rock. Pretty good show without quite as much of the headaches, I'd assume. Might even catch some of the fireworks out towards Hutto, Pflugerville and/or Taylor if they do them there, too.

Otherwise, I've seen them plenty of times out in Austin, too. Probably best to find a place and plan on staying there a while. Maybe on the west side around Mopac, or at Zilker? I don't know.

Very much agreed. However, I suggest you head to West Campus and watch the fireworks begin, both literally and figuratively, around University Towers and the fraternity houses.

The city of austin is small, just avoid rush hour and austin traffic is great.

From our back porch in Hutto we can see the display from Dell Diamond and some other big park in Round Rock. Every fourth our horizon is like Bagdad on invasion night, not to mention the neighborhood displays that rival the city.
