would any of you mind posting your experiences & rates from online savings accounts? I like these rates but dont know which are best to put my savings in to. I thought ING but their interest rate is 4.50% and the others are 5 or over. I have a Bank of america account & would like to easily transfer money to and from there. thanks!!!

    never had a problem w/emigrant..

in hindsight, i'd take ING.. so it'd be consolidated.. because ING checking is a good move as well. So I'd get both of those.

I just signed up for an ING Orange savings account last month. So far no complaints. I set it up to transfer a little money from my checking account every payday, so I don't even realize its gone.

I use a Fidelity MM fund as my savings account. Xfering in and out via online is drop dead easy, but usually takes a couple of days.

I use ING and it's been great. Easy to move money around and typically very good interest rates.

I'm an HSBC Direct guy as well...5.05% and no complaints as well.

FYI, about a week or so I saw some pretty nice CD rates from WaMu (currently, online WaMu has a 6 Month-5.50%)...I'm guessing it's a response to the current mortgage/lender climate...in any event, if you don't need to move the money around you can always consider a CD.

I've been with ING for a few years... can't complain... starting the account and transferring money into or out of it hasn't been a problem.

E-Loan is offering rates of 5.25% ($5,000 min. deposit)

Thats the best deal Ive found so far.

Currently HSBC is at 5.05% (no minimum balance).

Once I get my money from my condo, Ill probably go with E-Loan

I use Wamu online (5% APY) since it's directly transfered from my checking account. None of that day wait business. Small minimum balance too.

There are 6% deals around if you like going through the hoops for them.

It might be a little late jumping into this one...
