I heard so much about Britney Spears cameo role in "How I met Your Mother" this week that I started thinking about all the movies and television shows that I have watched that have had cameos in them. I know there have been some good ones in both movies and television shows. For some reason the one that always sticks out in my head is Jesse Jackson on SNL reading "Green Eggs and Ham" and I believe Michael Jordan was hosting. I know there are plenty of others and that's why I am asking you guys what your favorite ones are. Please list.
Barbara Streisand interrupting a segment of Coffee Talk with Linda Richman (aka Mike Myers) when s/he was interviewing Madonna was one of the biggest cameos in SNL history.
I remember that one. Roseanne was on that one too I believe. I never understood why it was such a big deal, maybe because she (Streisand) stays out of the public eye as much as possible.

When the real Joe Pesci and Robert DiNero come on the Joe Pesci Show on SNL. Best moment was when Dinero says "who are you guys?" and Colin Quinn (whose Dinero impression is perfect) breaks character and says "Colin Quinn...from Remote Control, remember?"
As I recall, Roseanne was the celebrity guest that show. Madonna was already doing a cameo for Coffee Talk (not playing herself, though). She came on just for that skit. The Barbara "She's Like Butter" Streisand comes on, was it right after they did their customer props to Streisand in the skit. The reaction of Roseanne and Madonna was priceless (Roseanne lost her mind) and Myers stayed in character. haha Yeah, you're right, part of it was that we Streisand rarely makes public appearances anymore.
Go ahead and take my man card away from me... but Mel Brooks' cameos on "Mad About You" in the late 1990s were amazing... I think he won 2 or 3 Emmys for his work on that show...
Not the best, but Ray Allen made a cameo on Mad TV a few years ago. It was funny because nobody in the crowd recognized who he is.
I wouldn't be talking if I were you. This is coming from the guy who started this: http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=144891&highlight=straight I did say this though: http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showpost.php?p=3571070&postcount=1 Maybe we should both stop talking about anything gay or unmannish for awhile. Unless its about Jack White. I would so do him.
Niel Patrick Harris on Harold and Kumar Go To White Castle. It was so great that it relaunched his entire career.
Speaking of "Mad About You", I thought the episode with Carl Reiner reprising his role as Alan Brady (from The Dick Van Dyke Show) was entertaining.
