Just curious. Or sandwich spread. I've been trying to go grocery shopping more lately, as eating out or ordering in tends to get expensive. Anyway, I've had a craving for sandwich's lately. I've already got bologna, salami, olive loaf, cheicken salad, egg salad, and pimiento cheese down. But I'm going to go shopping again this weekend.

Any other good ideas? I'll try just about anything once.

I have always been partial to honey-roasted ham with one slice of turkey breast added to shake things up.

I like to get that ultra-thin sliced honey roased turkey and wad it up on a croissant with a little provolone. If ya ain't mixin' up the breads, you're treadin' water.

I whole heartedly agree. And it's all organic fed with no hormone injections.

as mentioned, cajun roast beef. it tastes so good you dont even need mayo or mustard.

and tuna is another option. its also very cheap.

Never cared for tuna much. I'll have it only on occasion.

BTW, has anyone ever tried to fry their bologna? I've heard about this, but I've never tried it.

It's the only way I'll eat bologna. Brown sugar ham is my favorite though.

What no tuna? You can mix in as much fattening mayo you want and you don't like it.

Try doing some subway imitations at home like buy frozen meatballs and heat them up with some nice sauce and make your own meatball sub.

The Italian subs are very good too and can be easily imitated.

    Corned Beef
    Cajun Turkey
    Honey Ham

These you just need to spread on some toasted sliced bread, nothing else is required.

No, but this reminds me. Take two slices of ham (not thin sliced, but fairly thick), put some swiss in between the two slices. Grill this on an ungreased pan, both sides, until the swiss melts inside the ham slices. While doing this, in the same pan, grill some buttered bread, flip for both sides.

When done, place the grilled ham/swiss between the two pieces of grilled bread and serve. Basically, instead of placing the ham/swiss between the bread, first, and then grilling, you grill the meat and bread separately, then combine.

I like it. Kids do too.
