The Pedro Sportscenter interview. "Karim Garcia? Who is Karim Garcia?" The look of just utter disdain was a delight to see. As a man who would rejoice at the painful death of Karim Garcia, I can honestly say I have never seen a greater interview than the one Pedro just gave.
I was laughing when he said that. Honestly, if I was in his position, I wouldve said the same thing. "Derek Jeter, Bernie Williams, Paul O'Neil, those are people I would tip my hat to, but Karim Garcia? PULEASE...." I agree with Nomar, even though I am a Astros fan.
they'll probably get tired about the same time people get sick of jumping on the yankees bandwagon. Raven Lunatic, IIRC pedro threw at karim's head (and karim ducked and it actually hit his bat) last year in the playoffs. i don't know if that pitch led to the fight that ended with zimmer on the ground or if it just set things in motion for later.
lol The Expos helped him develop into the pitcher he eventually became. Alou loved him to death. We would have won it all back in '94.
It's only acceptable in the following form: Best/Worst. X. Ever. And you have to read it in Comic Book Guy voice.
Does anyone else get really tired of hearing about the Red Sox and Yankees every time you turn on Sportcenter? I mean, the last time I checked, there were other teams in MLB. One of them actually won the World Series last year and you never hear anything about them. I know it's hard to believe, but there are some baseball fans that couldn't give a sweet rats ass about the Red Sox or Yankees...
Considering that ESPN is located in Bristol, Connecticut, you shouldn't be surprised with the fixation for those 2 teams. And the way that you have assclowns like Gasbags Gammons constantly reporting whether Kevin Brown has a hangnail or BK Kim farted in the clubhouse, I have a feeling we haven't seen anything yet - just wait until September!
